Q. If I’m on a waiting list, how long will I be waiting?
A .It’s difficult to know. A waiting list date is the day eligibility is determined, or a person’s 14th birthday, whichever is later. A person’s place on the waiting list can change from month to month as people are found eligible, as people transfer to WeldCounty from other areas of Colorado or as people return to a waiting list after years of not being on the waiting list.
If a person leaves services after they have been found eligible, but comes back a few years later (if they have not left the state), they will keep their eligibility date which determines where they are placed on the waiting list. Emergencies arise that put people at a higher place on the waiting list, i.e. if they are homeless or at risk to their own safety or put safety of others at risk. People come off a waiting list when there are resources available either through someone no longer wanting or needing services, through the death of people in services or through the allocation of new resources by the State of Colorado.

Q. How can you put people who have emergencies on waiting lists?
A. Unfortunately, Envision does not have the ability or the funds to have emergency “beds” available as needed. Services are complex and must be well planned. The case manager will help those in emergency situations find alternatives until an opening in services becomes available.
Q. Are there unlimited services available through Envision?
A. Services are based on individual needs. Envision programs are not entitlements, but provided on a funds-available basis only.
Q. How do I enroll in Envision programs?
A. Contact the case management department. A case manager will be assigned to you to assist in eligibility determination, writing a plan and determining if any resources are available to provide services to you.
