Early Intervention services are provided in accordance with Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to infants and toddlers (birth through age 2) with a developmental disability or delay. EI/Part C services are intended to enhance the child's development and learning as well as to enhance the capacity of families to support their children’s well-being.
Envision's Early Childhood Connections (ECC) office is the point of entry for Early Intervention/Part C in Weld County. Referrals are made through a variety of community sources, including parents, health professionals, hospitals, clinics, school district Child Find teams, Migrant Head Start, Department of Social Services, and the Weld County Health Department. The ECC helps to coordinate a variety of funding sources for services for children who qualify, to meet their developmental needs as documented on their Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP).
Envision Service Coordinators collaborate with a number of community agencies to evaluate and provide services and supports to children and their families, and to assist them with a smooth transition to other services at age 3.
